Marla, our Patient Care Coordinator, is the first person that you’re likely to speak with and meet at our office. A mother of two toddler girls, she is very passionate about making our guests feel the highest level of comfort. As you get to know her, you’ll likely find that coming to a dental office is more enjoyable than you imagined. When Marla is not chasing Gabriella and Ava with her husband, she can be found learning new recipes to cook for her family.

Our Practice Manager, Isela, grew up in the DC area, started her career in the dental field in 2003 and has been with Dr. Puterman since the day he started his practice. Always striving for superior service and making your visit a smooth experience, she is here for you and will assist you in any way possible. Her calm demeanor will be sure to put you at ease. When not chasing after her young daughter Lian, she can be found relaxing and watching a funny movie.

One of our surgical assistants, Stephanie has a true passion for dentistry and patient care. With a background as a ballroom dance instructor, she’s come a long way in the dental field since her fresh start with Dr. Puterman in 2012. She has developed a devotion for helping others when it comes to oral health. Being a military spouse, and with future plans for hygiene school, Stephanie hopes to continue to make a difference in communities all around the world. In her downtime, she can be found building forts with her two year old, Steven, or trying new recipes in the kitchen.

One of our surgical assistants, Jocelyn has been in the dental field for the past 8 years and with Dr. Puterman for 4 years. She loves seeing the outstanding results achieved and takes pride in the team that Dr. Puterman has built. As much as Jocelyn enjoys dedicating her time to excellent patient care when she is in the office, her biggest motivator is her family. Jocelyn visits her native country of Nicaragua as much as possible to enjoy the year round tropical weather and colonial architecture that it has to offer. Jocelyn has two 4-legged furry babies who run her life on the weekends!

Chelsey, Dr. Puterman’s newest surgical assistant, moved to the Washington, DC area from New Orleans to attend Howard University, loved what she saw, and stayed. Her B.A. in Biology and concentration in Chemistry led her to discover her new passion for dentistry. When not working, Chelsey can be found relaxing at home with her cat, Kobe. Oh, and that infectious giggle that you hear throughout the office is most definitely hers.

We know that having an outstanding hygienist is critical and we’re thrilled that Lori joined our practice last year. We frequently hear from patients that cleanings from Lori are the best that they’ve had. Lori has been practicing as a dental hygienist since 1988 when she graduated with a B.S. from University of Maryland. She is a Maryland native and lives in Laurel with her husband and three busy sons, Nicholas, Matthew and Andrew.
