While dental implants are generally extremely successful, averaging somewhere around 95% success, dental implants sometimes require removal.

Why would a dental implant need to be removed?

There are several reason that a dental implant would need to be removed including: infection, bone loss, gum loss, or the implant not being in proper position. Oftentimes removing an implant can result in even more bone loss and many surgeons are therefore reluctant to remove one.
